Boston’s ‘Make Way for Ducklings’ Sculpture Sports Rob Gronkowski T-Shirts, Prepare for Tight End’s Return (Photos)

    NESN.com

Rob Gronkowski hasn’t officially been cleared to play on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, but he’s already got a cheering section in Boston.

The famous bronze ‘Make Way for Ducklings’ sculpture in the Boston Public Garden was seen Friday sporting t-shirts in support of the Patriots tight end. Deadspin has photos of the ducklings and their mother duck with t-shirts on that say “Gronk’s back … better than ever,” and “In Gronk we trust.”

Check out photos of the cute welcoming party below.

Robert Kraft Honors Wife’s Legacy By Helping Kids Get Into College

    CBS Boston

    [worldnow id=9346339 width=385 height=288 type=video]

BOSTON (CBS) – New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is stepping in to help struggling students make it to college.

A transitional program at Brandeis University takes underprivileged kids and gives them a chance at higher education. Kraft is making sure his wife’s legacy will help the program live on.

Sekou Caba, a teenager from East Orange, New Jersey, was among the students invited to Kraft’s house Tuesday night.

“Before, I lived in a tough neighborhood and every year I’d see a friend who would pass away,” said Caba.

Now he’s getting the chance of a lifetime, attending the program at Brandeis.

The students spent the evening at Robert Kraft’s house to celebrate the program which is now called “The Myra Kraft Transitional Year Program.” The program accepts 20 students every year to prepare them for college.

“Rather than have buildings, this is something that…

Managing partner of Silverman, Thompson, Slutkin and White, Steve Silverman joined the Glenn Younes show tonight to discuss Aaron Hernandez.

Steve described what the hearing was about today.

“It is a probable cause hearing. Which all that means is there is some link between the defendant and the crime.”

Then, Glenn asked Steve about Aaron Hernandez’ appearance at the hearing and the possibility of getting new tattoos in jail.

“I don’t think the court would allow any evidence of what a tattoo is or what it means because I don’t think it’s relevant to whether or not he shot Lloyd.”

Then Steve spoke on how Carlos Ortiz and Earnest Wallace are related to the shooting.

“I think it’s very clear that Ortiz is cooperating. He’s trying to negotiate a walk.”

    “If the prosecution is convinced…

    Transferring over to sportsrantz.com/sportsmemo 😉

    CBS Boston

BOSTON (CBS) — Despite still playing the fewest games in the entire NHL, the Boston Bruins remain just one point shy of the Eastern Conference lead. They’ve competed hard, to be sure, but those victories just aren’t coming easy.

The latest example came Thursday night at the TD Garden, in the Bruins’ first home game in more than two weeks. Facing a streaking Ottawa team employing a roster of unknowns and a goalie with just 10 career NHL starts, it took ever last bit of effort from every player on the ice for the Bruins to earn their 2-1 win in overtime, extending their winning streak to five games.

For the Bruins, it was their fourth overtime game in just seven home games this season, and their fifth overtime game of the year overall. Three of those games have gone to a shootout, with Thursday’s win becoming the second Bruins…
